This project involved the installation of six (6) 6” “Drill and Leave” conduits from the Alupang Beach area of the island out approximately 4000 linear feet to ultimately receive data/telecommunications cables. Diving depths on the project reached 147 feet. The diving tasks associated with this project included the removal of the drilling head from the drill stem followed by the installation of a pull-back line that will be used in the future to pull the data cables through the conduit. After the pull-back lines were installed, divers installed blank flanges on the ocean ends of the conduits to prevent in-filling of sand into the conduits.
