Trident Refit Facility Wharf 2 Repairs
PROJECT DETAILS
Precon Marine performed repairs to the Trident Refit Facility Wharf 2 at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia. The project included concrete restoration of spalled and cracked concrete piles, pile caps, edge beams, mooring foundations and associated hardware. Additional work included repairs to catwalks, fender wraps and bonding systems, along with the replacement of ladders and sacrificial anodes.
Cathodic protection systems were incorporated into the concrete structures to help maintain the integrity of the repairs and protect against future corrosion. The project also included miscellaneous electrical work associated with the facility’s power supply.
