The work completed consisted of the replacement of the Bridge Street Bridge over Salters Creek, with a new bridge structure. The work generally consisted of replacing the existing bridge with a new 215’ long bridge, and reconstructing 150 feet of approach roadway. The major items of work were dismantling and removal of the existing bridge, reconstruction of roadway approaches to include pavement, concrete curbing, and sidewalk, provision of a temporary utility bridge for bridge utilities to remain operational during construction, provision of storm, sanitary, water, electrical, and communication installations, and placement of rip-rap slope protection.
